New publication in Reviews in Fish Biology and Fisheries: Forecasting Size-at-Maturity Shifts under Global Warming (04/02/2026)
FRESCO members have published a new article in Reviews in Fish Biology and Fisheries titled "Forecasting Size-at-Maturity Shifts under Global Warming: A Case Study on European Hake, a Widely Distributed Species." The study examines how global warming may influence the size at which European hake reach sexual maturity. Using this widely distributed and commercially important species as a case study, the research provides insights into the potential effects of climate change on fish population dynamics and emphasizes the need to account for these changes in sustainable fisheries management.
